Habitat for Humanity believes that every man, woman, and child should have a decent, safe, and affordable place to live. We build and repair houses all over the world using volunteers and donations. Our partner families purchase these houses through no-profit, no-interest mortgage loans and other innovative financing methods.
Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live and housing poverty and homelessness are eliminated. We believe that the home is a key catalyst in helping to permanently break the cycle of poverty.
Habitat for Humanity International
Millard and Linda Fuller founded Habitat for Humanity in 1976. Habitat for Humanity is a Christian ministry that puts the concept of "partner housing" to work. Our partner families pay off zero-interest mortgages and work "sweat equity" to further our ecumenical ministry.
